Art Contest
MUSYCA invites entries for its annual Art Competition.
The contest is open for Children and Youth, ages 5-18.
This year's theme is "Greetings from Spain".
In response to COVID-19 we are accepting email submissions this year. Please email us a photo of your work.

Media
Artists submitting flat artwork may use any type of drawing tool, pastel, paint, or collage. Heavier weight papers or illustration board are preferred, as thinner papers are more likely to be damaged. If the finished artwork is easily smudged, please affix a cover sheet to protect it.
Framing and Labeling
All artwork is to be submitted unframed and unsigned. Your artwork will be assigned a number which the judges will use to identify it.
Subject Matter
All artwork must clearly depict an image that evokes an association with Spanish architecture, landscape, fashion, music, culture, etc.
Prizes
Selected works will be chosen to be made into the set of postcards. Due to COVID-19, all works will be displayed online and at MUSYCA’s next concert, TBA. All artists will receive Certificates of Participation and will have an opportunity to participate in the art masterclass.
Deadline
All artwork must be submitted with a completed registration form and Entry fee of $20.00 per piece by May 1, 2020 to: MUSYCA, 10110 Melinda Way #5, Northridge CA 91325. Please make checks payable to MUSYCA.
Copyright and Reproduction
All works entered into the competition must be original. By submitting artwork entries into the competition, participants grant MUSYCA the right to exhibit and reproduce the submitted entries.
Judging
A committee of judges will select the winners based on originality, clarity, quality of execution, and relevance to the theme, "Greetings from Spain".
