Families gather around a wooden log adorned with a smiling face and place it in their homes. Starting on December 8, they "feed" the log with treats and goodies every night until Christmas Eve. On the special night, children sing traditional songs, including "Caga Tió" and "beat" the log with sticks, encouraging it to "poop" presents.
