MUSYCA Sings on Olivia Rodrigo’s “Miss this Christmas”

We are excited to share that the MUSYCA Children’s Choir is featured on “Miss this Christmas,” a new song by Olivia Rodrigo, co-written and produced by Daniel Nigro.

MUSYCA singers had a wonderful time recording the vocals for this beatuful song, working with the producer Dan Nigro in the studio. A two-time Grammy Award winner, Dan is one of today’s leading music producers and songwriters. He is widely known for his creative partnership with Olivia Rodrigo, producing her albums SOUR and GUTS, as well as for his work with artists including Chappell Roan.

And there was an extra-special moment: Olivia Rodrigo herself called Dan and the choir on FaceTime in the studio to congratulate MUSYCA singers on a fantastic recording. It was an unforgettable surprise!

The recording was coordinated by Dr. Anna Krendel, Executive Director of MUSYCA, with the choir conducted by Dr. Misha Shtangrud. MUSYCA Children's Choir vocals were recorded at Clear Lake recording studio by recording engineer Ivan Rivera.

“Miss this Christmas” was released on November 5, 2026, as the B-side to Olivia Rodrigo’s holiday song “take me home (4 christmas),” on a Target-exclusive 7-inch vinyl edition. The recording was released through Interscope Records.
