MUSYCA Performs with Dominic Fike And Kevin Abstract at Camp Flog Gnaw Festival

Los Angeles, CA — MUSYCA Youth Choir appeared at this year’s Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival, held at Dodger Stadium, performing with musicians Dominic Fike and Kevin Abstract during their first live appearance together as the duo Geezer. The performance on the Camp Stage was streamed live on Amazon Prime.
Camp Flog Gnaw, founded by Tyler, the Creator, has become one of Los Angeles’ major annual music events, known for large-scale production design and collaborative performances that draw significant national attention. The festival attracts tens of thousands of attendees and regularly features artists pushing creative and theatrical boundaries.
Working with Dominic Fike and Kevin Abstract was an incredible experience for MUSYCA singers, who were inspired by their creativity, energy, and professionalism throughout the entire rehearsal and performance process.
For this appearance, MUSYCA singers participated in a baseball-themed production in which large stadium bleachers were constructed onstage. Positioned as cheering baseball fans, the choir performed supporting vocals from the bleachers, becoming part of the visual and musical design presented to more than 40,000 audience members. The performance also included contributions from artists Truly Young and Love Spells, who worked with the choir during the preparation process.
Participating in Camp Flog Gnaw gave MUSYCA students a rare look at the inner workings of a major festival. During rehearsals, singers refined harmonies, learned precise staging cues, worked with in-ear monitors and lavalier microphones, and observed the extensive coordination between artists, choreographers, audio engineers, and production crews. MUSYCA's young artists took part in the creative process and managed the musical responsibilities required for a synchronized, large-scale live production.
