MUSYCA is featured in a special Live From Roku City performance celebrating Wicked: For Good, the highly anticipated sequel to the beloved musical.
The performance presents a new interpretation of “For Good,” sung by the MUSYCA Children’s Choir (Musical Youth of California) and showcased within Roku City—the streaming platform’s iconic animated screensaver experience.
Set to music and lyrics by Wicked creator Stephen Schwartz, the 2025 Live From Roku City performance brings MUSYCA’s singers together under the direction of choir director Dr. Mikhail Shtangrud, with music arrangement and direction by Stephen Oremus. Powerful choreography by Christopher Scott, featuring Will West, adds movement and visual storytelling to this emotionally resonant moment. The project was coordinated by MUSYCA's executive director Dr. Anna Krendel.
Roku City now appears in more than half of all U.S. broadband homes, and MUSYCA’s beautiful performance has been seen and heard by millions of households nationwide. Viewers encounter the performance organically within the Roku City experience, where music and storytelling come together in a visually imaginative setting.
