Updated: Jan 8, 2022

MUSYCA Children's Choir recently was back at the historic EastWest Recording Studios in Hollywood, recording the vocals for an upcoming UNICEF project. This was a fun day for the entire MUSYCA team, filled with exciting music and beautiful singing. Stay tuned for more info about the project and a music video.

Our magical singers recorded in studio 1, the largest space at EastWest, famous for its many iconic songs. Who else has recorded in this studio? Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Whitney Houston, and U2 are among the many stars who made music in this room. The studio is also known for its numerous film soundtracks, including The Godfather, music for hit TV shows (Glee, American Idol), and the location for the motion picture La La Land.

The recording session was coordinated by the choir's executive director Dr. Anna Krendel and conducted by the artistic director, Dr. Mikhail Shtangrud, assisted by Ms. Vanessa Palomino. Sound engineer was Ivan Rivera.

MUSYCA, a Los Angeles Children's Choir, has become America's leading performing arts organization for youth, which appeared at the world's top venues, performed in Film and on TV, and collaborated with preeminent artists and composers. MUSYCA (pronounced MUSIC-ah) is an acronym for Musical Youth of California.
