The MUSYCA Children’s Choir is featured on “Proud of Me,” a new single released via South Coast Music Group and Capitol Records by Toosii, an American rapper, singer, and songwriter known for his melodic hip-hop style and emotionally driven songwriting.
To record the song, MUSYCA singers worked with producer Diego Ave, a 2x Grammy-winning, 11x platinum-selling American hip-hop producer and songwriter, known for his work with artists like Post Malone, Future, 21 Savage, and Lil Durk. The recording was coordinated by Dr. Anna Krendel, and the choir was conducted by Dr. Mikhail Shtangrud.
MUSYCA voices shine throughout the track, adding a distinct warm quality to the song’s overall sound, and are prominently featured on the outro in a choral passage that finishes with a beautiful a cappella moment.
MUSYCA recorded their vocal parts at Lion Share Recording Studios, a historic Los Angeles recording hub known for major hit recordings, including Chicago’s “You’re the Inspiration” and Michael Jackson’s “We Are the World” and “Smooth Criminal.”
The MUSYCA Children’s Choir is a Los Angeles-based ensemble known for its extensive work in professional recording sessions across film, television, and commercial music. The choir regularly collaborates with composers, producers, and recording artists, contributing choral performances to studio projects that span a wide range of musical genres and styles.
“Proud of Me” is now available on all major streaming platforms.
