MUSYCA Collaborates with Composer Tyler Monsein on New Album

MUSYCA Children’s Choir recently collaborated with composer Tyler Monsein on his new album, Marielena, It’s Me, during recording sessions at the legendary Sunset Sound Recorders in Hollywood.
For this special project, MUSYCA singers recorded four songs that are part of a brand-new song cycle for girls’ choir, piano, violin, and viola: Recital Night, Marielena, It’s Me, A Bowl of Shells, and Garden Calls. The sessions combined expressive storytelling, rich harmonies, and thoughtful musical artistry in an inspiring professional studio environment.
Tyler Monsein is a brilliant composer and artist whose work is recognized for its cinematic atmosphere, emotional depth, and imaginative musical language. His compositions created a beautiful space for collaboration, allowing MUSYCA singers to bring warmth, color, and expression to the recording process.
The recording was coordinated by Dr. Anna Krendel, and the choir was directed by Dr. Mikhail Shtangrud. MUSYCA singers recorded their performances at the historic Sunset Sound Recorders studio, which has hosted some of the most legendary artists in music history, including Prince, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, The Doors, Elton John, Van Halen, and The Beach Boys.
